How It Works
① Pick a Package from the Package Page, choose a digital kit or images/illustrations from istockphoto.com or dreamstime.com (if applicable), fill out the order form and I will generate an invoice. Once 50% downpayment is received, you will be added to the work queue. Current wait time is 4 days to 2 weeks, depending on your design preferences.
② Payment and credit cards accepted through Paypal only.
③ Establish a (free) Photobucket account and provide me with password (you may change it after installation is complete). I will use this account to host the images for your design. If you would like any personal pictures in your design, upload them to your Photobucket account, and be sure to specify on your order form (or follow-up email) which of your pics you prefer get used. I will also need your blog password (you can temporarily change it, as you see fit).
*IMPORTANT: Any images provided to me MUST be at the MINIMUM size of 1000 pixels x 1000 pixels. Images that are any smaller than that will NOT be accepted. If you are spending the money on a custom design, then you should expect a quality header. Images that are less than 1000 pixels will not produce a quality header. I will not begin working on your design until I receive an acceptable image size. FYI: Uncropped images from a standard camera are typically much larger than 1000 pixels, so I will gladly accept these for use in your design.
④ When you reach the top of the work queue, I will email you and give you access to a “preview blog,” in which you will be allowed to view during the time I am working on your blog design. Feel free to email me at any time during the design process to make changes. If you decide to add on additional elements during the design process, I will invoice you separately for each item/change. Throughout this process, I may be emailing you with questions/thoughts on your design regularly, so be sure to check your email often and reply promptly, as, many times, I am waiting on your response before I can continue on with your design.
⑤ Once you have agreed to the final design on the “preview blog,” I will invoice you for the remaining balance of work completed. When payment is received, I will install the design on your blog within 24 hours of the next business day. After installation is complete, you will be given one free revision for any errors by Bright Sunshine Designs, if necessary. If there are any changes or add-ons once the installation is complete, there will be a $20.00 fee, plus the cost of the add-on.
*If you decide to change your template in the middle of the design (2-column to 3-column, or vice versa), or if you decide to upgrade/downgrade to a different package, there will be an additional fee of $10.00 for my time already spent on your first template. You can easily avoid this fee by ordering the package you ideally want from the beginning.
⑥ If you’re looking for a time frame, I can only provide you with an estimate of two days to two weeks from the point you reach the top of the queue to the day of installation. It may be less, it may be more, depending on your design preferences.
⑦ If you decide you want to use a Scrapbooking theme, choose your kit from the designers listed here. Do not make any purchases. When filling out the order form, be sure to specify in the comment section which designer and kit you have selected and I will invoice you for the package you have selected (the price of one kit from the approved designers is included in each package). Once 50% downpayment is made, I will purchase the kit and work on your design. Due to the terms of service of the kits’ designers, I can only use them to design your blog and provide you with your flattened jpg image(s); I cannot provide you with any individual items in the kits’ contents. To do so would be a violation of the copyright agreement on such kits.
⑧ If you decide you’d like a modern look, please browse istockphoto.com or dreamstime.com for the images you’d like used in your design. Do not make any purchases. When filling out the order form, please provide url links to the images you’ve selected. You will be invoiced for these images at cost on your initial invoice. Once you pay the invoice, I will purchase the images for use in your design. Please be careful when making your selections, as there will be no refunds once I purchase the images for you, even if you decide not to use them in your final design.
⑨ If you would like a custom illustration/logo instead of stock images in your design, please specify that on the order form. I collaborate with Nuttier Designs to provide this service. Nuttier Designs will bill you separately, depending on your design requests, and together, she and I work behind the scenes to build you a custom template. Also, if you choose to have a custom illustration used in your design, there will be a $20 discount on the individual pricing packages listed on my pricing page, as I will not need to create the graphics.
